These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Prune, the related website at prune.digitalarc.lk, and related services operated by Digital Arc. By downloading the app, buying a license, joining the waitlist, or using the website, you agree to these Terms. Privacy details are in our Privacy Policy.
1. What Prune is
Prune is a desktop utility that helps you find and remove reclaimable disk space (such as AI and developer caches and other leftovers) on supported Windows and macOS systems. Features, platforms, and pricing may change as we ship updates.
2. Your responsibilities when cleaning
- You choose what to delete. Review paths and sizes before confirming cleanup.
- Deleting files can be permanent. You are responsible for backups and for not removing data you still need.
- Use Prune only on machines and data you are allowed to manage.
- Do not reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse the software in ways that violate law or these Terms.
3. License and purchases
Free features (such as scanning, where offered) and paid “Pro” features are provided under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for your own use, subject to these Terms and any plan limits we publish.
Paid checkout is processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store credit card numbers or other full payment instrument details on our servers. Dodo’s terms apply to the payment transaction itself. After a successful payment, we may issue or activate a license key so you can use paid features.
Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, fees are non-refundable once a license has been delivered. Contact us if a payment failed or a license was not issued correctly.
4. macOS waitlist
If you join the macOS waitlist, you agree we may store your email only to notify you when the Mac version of Prune is live. Submitting an email does not guarantee a launch date, pricing, or feature set.
5. Website use and analytics
The marketing website may use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel, and TikTok Pixel, as described in the Privacy Policy. By using the site, you agree that we and those providers can collect and use website usage data for product improvement, measurement, security, and advertising, subject to that policy and each provider’s terms.
6. Intellectual property
Prune, its branding, UI, and site content are owned by Digital Arc or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the software or site content except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Prune and the website are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that cleaning will free a specific amount of space, that every suggestion is safe for every workflow, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digital Arc and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of Prune or the website — including deletions you approve. Our total liability for any claim related to Prune is limited to the amount you paid us for Prune in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you paid nothing).
9. Acceptable use
You may not use Prune or the site to break the law, attack systems, scrape or abuse our APIs, or interfere with other users. We may suspend access or licenses if we reasonably believe these Terms are violated.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes to paid plans will be communicated in a reasonable way when practical.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Digital Arc’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country say otherwise.
